Garbage Receptacles

On our walk this morning we took a plastic bag to collect any garbage we'd find along the way. It always surprises me that a person could throw onto the ground a plastic take out tray, drink cups, water bottles etc.  It feels like an assault on Mother Earth. Our bag was full.


Then I got to thinking that if we truly believe we are spiritual beings, individualized expressions from Divine Mind, how can we litter that Holy place with garbage? We do. With every negative thought, every thought of jealousy, every thought that begins, "I Am..sick, useless, no good, not enough, not worthy. 


I've heard the expression garbage in, garbage out. What we embrace, we become. So I'm inviting you to become mindful of where the garbage receptacles in your life are. And to know that you are not one of them.
