Caregivers... and we all are caregivers... deserve our love and gratitude. Whether you are caring for others professionally or at home it requires compassion, patience and love. Have you ever watched a nurse, a paramedic or doctor and commented, "I couldn't do that"? When that thought comes to me as I watch someone else perform their job, I am grateful there are people who can do it.
My Bob is recovering from minor (he's calling it major) surgery. He had a lesion removed from his upper leg and they made quite a long incision. Today he is sore and hobbling around and milking it for all he can get. That's okay, we all need a little extra TLC once in awhile. So I made him a beautiful omlet this morning, toast and tea. Now I'm off to work.
He can get around so he'll be okay. I'm thinking that people can never get too much love. I believe we wouldn't be reading and hearing about all the stories of violence if the perpretrators had been loved more.
