Brave

Last night I saw the movie Brave. It was created by Disney Pixar. It's an entertaining movie with a sweet story of a young girl who wants control of her own life. As a princess there are lots of expectations of what she should do, and not do ie "a princess doesn't have weapons" even though her father gave her a cross and bow at a young age. In the end it was that very talent she'd developed that saved the day.

The princess thought that for her to have control of her life, someone else had to lose control of theirs. How often have you felt that someone else was responsible for the way your life is unfolding? Yet, the truth is that we all have power to stand strong, speak up and find our own way. If you are feeling like you are imprisoned in some way, and can't see the way out, speak to a friend, call a crisis center, find a way to be heard. Even reaching out for help takes inner strength. You've got it!
