Extremely Close..Incredibly Loud.

I saw this movie last night and was quite moved by the story. It put a deeper layer of understanding to the suffering of a young boy (and his mom) who lost his dad in 9/11. He goes on a journey looking for a lock and perhaps the lock that he opens by the end of his journey is his heart and his conscience.

I was very  moved by the intensity of his feelings, his secrets and guilt. This young boy was filled with fears that his father helped him to deal with on a daily basis even from the grave. I am still reflecting on some of his choices and trying to understand them.

I love going to the movies. You can become immersed in another person's journey and at the same time learn about your own. I hope you get to see Oscar's journey.
